Pilgrims carry Banners

The members of the Church who have passed on to the Lord are called the Church Triumphant.  The living members of the Church are called the Church Militant as we are still fighting the good fight.  Like ancient armies of old, knights in armor and our Scout Troops, we march with our banners so all will see who we are what we believe.  It is usual for pilgrims to carry elaborate banners of their parish patron Saint or devotion.  We have included a few examples.  There are many more online.
